Remembering Caitlin Rogers
Caitlin had the kindest heart. She was inclusive and patient with others. A gifted dancer and lacrosse player, she served as Team Captain during both her junior and senior years of high school. She also taught preschool dance classes—she had an inherent connection with young children and often expressed her desire to have children of her own one day. She truly looked forward to that.
Caitlin was a leader at her school, serving as President of the Networking Team Captains. She was extremely intelligent and hilariously funny. Laid back by nature, she loved the arts and astronomy.
She was studying Psychology with a minor in Spanish at The University of Oklahoma. Caitlin shared an especially close bond with her younger brother, Nick. They rarely fought or bickered growing up and genuinely enjoyed each other’s company.
She was the best daughter and friend—loyal, loving, and full of light. A true animal lover, especially of dogs, Caitlin adored her beloved Finn. He is with her now, keeping her company as she lovingly watches over all those she cared for.
She was strong, brave, and courageous.
Caitlin had taken all the right steps to leave the abuser and had found herself again and was pushing forward in the most courageous and brave way. We have no doubt that she would have gone on to help prevent what happened to her from happening to others.
